This summer has been incredible. Knowing that our move to Portland would come in the fall, we have been intentional about having an awesome last summer in Tacoma! In addition to a lot of fun and memories made, we have been so incredibly blessed and encouraged by the many people we have met and photographed this summer. How awesome it is to have complete strangers become close friends through photography during such a crazy season of life! This has happened time and time again and every time we are so blown away and grateful. These beautiful people are no exception. Kyle works a job during the week, faithfully leads the youth at his church also preaching from time to time, and is in the process of becoming an A29 church planter. Emily is beginning her last year of nursing school in Idaho this fall and had the awesome opportunity to return to Romania this summer as a missionary nurse. Her and her team served over 1,000 people during their time there! Needless to say…these 2 have A LOT going on. Being that we are in the midst of preparing to move and in wedding and summer camp season, we are hard to track down too! So the first time we actually got to sit down with Emily & Kyle was over frozen yogurt with our 4 kids in tow. We all had a wonderful and LOUD time and knew instantly that we were the perfect fit to not only photograph their wedding but that we wanted to be close to them for years and years to come. Because of their understandably busy schedule in the evenings, we had the brilliant idea of meeting super early for a sunrise session to get some gorgeous soft glowing light for their engagement photos. After all, the day before was 90 degrees so we were feeling pretty confident. As it turns out…it was foggy. It was cloudy. It almost rained. It was timeless Pacific Northwest and it was perfect. Thankful that even when we plan and plan and calculate every aspect of our lives (and photo sessions), it is inevitably not us who establishes our steps. We love you Emily & Kyle and are so excited to be a part of your wedding and your lives.
